This blog is going to be about a book named ” Zero to One “, by Peter Thiel that I have started reading , which talks about startup and focuses upon Entrepreneurship and innovation.
In the introductory chapter itself the author says that no moment occurs twice . Innovation is a event that has never occurred in the history, it can be learned and linked to history but not already taken place. If it has taken place then it is called duplicating and not innovating. And this idea he calls going 1 to n ( duplicating )or doing what is already know and 0 to 1 (innovating) or creating something new. Leaning on past won’t help a business grow well , the growth may remain stagnant or till where the history is stuck but if focused and used trending method can help the company innovate and make a good value in the long race. strategies used today won’t help you a decade later, one has to explore and search for every unexpected moment . A very appealing line of this chapter is ” The best paths are never tried” a line which keep every human to explore and create more . He calls Technology as Miracles, which is undoubtedly acceptable , technology has helped human to see the world from any and every angle , helped to bring imagination to life and made impossible to highly possible .Another appealing line is ” By creating new technology ,we rewrite the plan of the world”.
The author says that this book doesn’t offer any formula for sucesss , there are no concrete terms how to be innovative.
